RECYCOTAPE™ Extreme
RecycotapeTM Extreme is a heavy-duty, fully extensible tape backing designed for recyclable pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) tapes used in consumer and industrial applications. Made from FSC®-controlled, sustainably sourced fibers, it can be re-pulped during the recycling process. These extensible, saturated, backings can be customized with a release coat or prime coat and are compatible with most packaging-grade PSAs.
Unlike PSA fi lm tape backings for packaging (polypropylene or PVC), Recycotape™ Extreme is re-pulpable, and does not create non-recyclable plastic waste when it is included as part of a fiber based packaging waste stream. When this backing is used with a re-pulpable adhesive, the finished tape can provide usable fiber to re-process into new paper, along with the box or carton, in a standard household waste stream (according to tests carried out by certified third-party testing facilities).
Recycotape™ Extreme grades are available in 145 gsm and 165 gsm basis weights, in either brown or white color.
